Indiana University Bloomington staff, faculty, and retirees came together to raise over $600,000 for United Way of South Central Indiana to help families and individuals move from poverty to possibility. Thank you!
United Way works to fund programs that help struggling families get ahead, including their financial empowerment programs, the Free Community Tax Service, and life-changing services at United Way’s 23 partner agencies. United Way’s impact touches the lives of one in three people in our community.
This year, we saw the need grow as financial challenges affected most all of us, especially those already vulnerable. Despite the struggles that many are facing, the giving power of IU people made an incredible impact, contributing 66% of United Way’s overall community campaign.

The considerable generosity of IU Bloomington donors and campaign volunteers make United Way’s community impact possible. Nearly 70 IU Bloomington volunteers participated in the campaign to raise awareness and facilitate department-level engagement. Learn more about the annual campaign and how to get involved.
